Monitors and evaluates practices and activities that may affect the marine environment, and takes necessary regulatory actions regarding violations and non-compliant practices. Additionally, contributes to the protection and sustainability of ecosystems and marine resources through field follow-up and the collection of relevant environmental data and information. Prepares regulatory reports, documents inspection and visit results, and submits recommendations and corrective actions to mitigate environmental impacts and enhance environmental compliance levels.Conduct marine inspection and regulatory visits to marine facilities, activities, and sites, and verify compliance with approved environmental legislation, requirements, and standards.Monitor and document violations and non-compliant environmental practices that may affect the marine environment, and take regulatory actions in accordance with approved systems and procedures.Monitor sources of marine pollution, including discharges, pollutants, and wastes resulting from marine activities, and contribute to identifying their causes and environmental impacts.Collect environmental data, information, and samples when needed during inspection and monitoring operations, document visit results, and prepare relevant technical and regulatory reports.Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions with relevant entities and facilities, verify the remediation of violations and the mitigation of environmental impacts, and submit necessary recommendations to enhance the protection and sustainability of the marine environment.Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
