Ensures the safety of passengers, crew, and equipment, and maintains the operational readiness of the craft. Additionally, executes navigation and maneuvering operations in accordance with marine safety and navigation plans and instructions, monitors the technical condition of the vessel, reports malfunctions and hazards, and takes appropriate action regarding them.1. Command the marine craft while supervising navigation and maneuvering operations in accordance with approved maritime procedures and regulations.2. Ensure the operational readiness of the vessel, equipment, navigational instruments, and safety equipment prior to voyages and during operation.3. Apply maritime safety requirements, emergency and evacuation procedures, and handle marine accidents and hazards in accordance with approved instructions.4. Monitor weather, sea conditions, and navigational circumstances, assess their suitability for sailing, and take necessary preventive measures.5. Supervise crew members, assign tasks, and ensure their compliance with operating procedures, safety guidelines, and workplace discipline.6. Safeguard passengers, property, and equipment on board the marine craft, and handle any emergency situations or reports during the journey.7. Record voyage data, operating hours, technical notes, incidents, and malfunctions, and submit required reports to the direct supervisor.8. Coordinate effectively with relevant authorities, maintenance, and operations teams when necessary, and immediately report any malfunctions or risks that may impact operational safety.9. Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
