The role is responsible for processing aviation‑safety permits, verifying compliance with Executive Council Resolution No. (4) of 2017, supporting enforcement actions, and maintaining accurate operational‑safety records.This position plays a vital role in safeguarding airspace integrity, ensuring adherence to aviation‑safety legislation, and supporting the Authority’s operational‑safety governance through accurate documentation, regulatory checks, and stakeholder coordination.Key Responsibilities/Duties:1. Aviation Safety Permit Review and ProcessingReview and process aviation safety permits for aerial events, UAS operations, pyrotechnics, laser shows, and balloon launches.2. Compliance with Aviation Legislation and Executive Council ResolutionEnsure compliance with Executive Council Resolution No. (4) of 2017 and relevant aviation safety legislation.3. Operator Technical and Safety VerificationVerify that operators meet all technical, operational, and safety performance requirements before permit issuance.4. Validation of Safety and Operational DocumentationValidate safety plans, risk assessment forms, and operational documentation submitted by operators.5. Approval and NOC Compliance AssuranceEnsure all required approvals, NOCs, and supporting documents are complete and compliant.6. Regulatory Record ManagementMaintain accurate and up to date regulatory records.7. Monitoring of Approved Operational ActivitiesMonitor operational activities to ensure adherence to approved safety conditions.8. Non-Compliance Identification and EscalationIdentify non compliance cases and escalate them to senior specialists or management.9. Enforcement Support and Evidence DocumentationSupport enforcement actions by preparing evidence based reports and documentation.10. Incident and Violation RecordingRecord operational deviations, safety incidents, and regulatory violations.11. Investigation Support and Root Cause DocumentationSupport preliminary investigations and provide documentation for root cause analysis.12. Operations Room Coordination During Live EventsCoordinate with the Operations Room during live events or operational alerts.13. Aviation Database Maintenance and Compliance TrackingMaintain the aviation operations database, including permits, incident reports, and compliance records.14. KPI and Safety Performance MonitoringUpdate KPIs, performance indicators, and operational safety metrics.15. Data Analytics and Predictive Risk SupportProvide data inputs to analytics teams for trend analysis and predictive risk modeling.16. Regulatory Communication and Stakeholder EngagementCommunicate regulatory requirements to event organizers, UAV operators, and aviation stakeholders.17. Security Agency Coordination for Sensitive OperationsCoordinate with security agencies for approvals related to pilots, trainees, and sensitive operations.18. Federal and International Inspection SupportSupport federal and international inspections conducted by GCAA, ICAO, and other aviation bodies.19. Regulatory Procedure and Guidance DevelopmentContribute to the development of regulatory procedures, compliance checklists, and guidance materials.20. Community Awareness and Safety AdvocacyParticipate in community awareness campaigns related to safe use of drones, pyrotechnics, and laser activities.21. Digital Permitting and Workflow EnhancementSupport the enhancement of digital permitting systems and operational safety workflows.22. Certifications: Regulatory Compliance or Audit Certification (ISO 19011). Safety Management Systems (SMS) Awareness Certification. UAS Regulatory Training (advantage).
