## Description

Job Summary:
The Project EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs for large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar PV or onshore wind. This role ensures compliance with international and local regulations, company standards, and project-specific requirements. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, preparing safety plans, supervising site safety teams, and ensuring safe execution of civil, electrical, and mechanical works. The EHS Manager will also lead incident investigations, provide training, and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain a strong safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction, leadership, organization, control and support for the occupational health, hygiene, safety, quality and environmentally functional area for the renewable project.
- Initiate the design, development and management of implementation and maintenance of organizational safety, health, quality and environment management systems.
- Initiate and maintain an effective environmental management program for Project.
- Initiate, collaborate and manage construction health, hygiene and safety management for the Project.
- Initiate and manage optimization of business efficiency and continuity.
- Manage occupational health and safety, hygiene, environmental and quality resources.
- Ensure that project has the required approval for project EHS plan in place.
- Accompany PD to attend review meetings organized by Employer/CE related to health & safety issues and keep stakeholders informed.
- Attending weekly review meeting organized by PD along with other Project management team members and necessary site team members.
- Attend Project review meetings along with project management team as required when arranged by Project Director.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports for all health, hygiene, safety and quality related issues to Project Director.
- Prepare and submit periodic review report for all health, hygiene, safety and quality related issues to the Project Director.

Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/civil/mechanical engineering, with NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 15 + years of overall related experience in a management position for construction occupational health, hygiene and safety management in the capacity of (EHS Head).
- Experience in leading health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management for large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar PV or onshore wind. Strong expertise in developing and implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations. Proven ability to manage site safety teams, oversee civil, electrical, and mechanical works, and drive a strong safety culture across all project phases. Prior experience in managing international projects is desirable.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology (BTech)

Experience: 15-20 years
