## Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an analytical and technically proficient Product Quality Engineer (Solar PV) to oversee the quality assurance, reliability testing, and manufacturing standards of our photovoltaic products (such as solar modules, cells, wafers, and key BOM components). In this role, you will analyze manufacturing processes, lead failure and defect analysis, ensure compliance with international solar standards, and manage technical relationships with component suppliers or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Key Responsibilities
- In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): Monitor the end-to-end solar module assembly line, optimizing critical parameters across automated stringing, matrix lay-up, lamination, and framing.
- Advanced Testing & Characterization: Supervise and interpret advanced laboratory testing of PV products, including Electroluminescence (EL) imaging, Dark/Light IV testing, Flash testing, and Hi-Pot isolation testing to flag micro-cracks or power degradation.
- Root Cause & Failure Analysis: Lead investigations into internal factory rejections or customer field failures using structured problem-solving methodologies like 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis.\
- Product Certification: Ensure all manufactured hardware complies with mandatory international and regional PV certifications, including IEC 61215 (design qualification), IEC 61730 (safety status), UL, and localized registry lists (e.g., ALMM/BIS).
- Statistical Process Control (SPC): Utilize statistical tools (Minitab, Pareto charting, process capability indexing like Cp/Cpk) to detect deviations from design tolerances and push continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 8-12 years of experience as a Quality Engineer inside a Solar PV cell or module manufacturing facility or working closely with tier-1 solar suppliers.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
