## Description

1. Welding Execution & Supervision
- Oversee all welding activities including:- Structural welding (jackets, topsides, decks)
- Piping and equipment welding (if applicable)

- Ensure welding is performed as per approved:- WPS (Welding Procedure Specification)
- PQR (Procedure Qualification Record)

- Monitor fit-up, welding, and joint completion.
2. Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Planning team to align welding activities with project schedule.
- Ensure readiness of:- Drawings and latest revisions
- Welding consumables
- Qualified welders and equipment

- Plan daily and weekly welding activities.
3. Welder Qualification & Control
- Ensure all welders are:- Qualified and certified as per project requirements
- Assigned based on welding process and material grade

- Maintain welder qualification records.
- Monitor welder performance and productivity.
4. Welding Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with:- Project specifications
- Applicable codes (ASME, AWS, API, ISO)

- Monitor weld quality and defect rates.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for:- Fit-up inspections
- Visual inspections
- NDT (RT, UT, MPI, DPI)

5. Consumables & Equipment Management
- Ensure proper handling and storage of welding consumables:- Electrodes, flux, filler wires, gases

- Maintain electrode baking and holding ovens.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of welding machines.
6. Productivity & Cost Control
- Monitor welding productivity (inch-dia / tonnage metrics).
- Control rejection rates and minimize rework.
- Optimize usage of consumables and manpower.

Qualifications: Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)

Experience: 10-30 years
