Overview Of The Role:

- The Stock Controller/Inventory Controller plays a crucial role in retail operations by ensuring accurate tracking and availability of inventory. This position demands adherence to operating procedures to minimize stock loss risks and improve efficiency. Working both independently and as part of a team, the controller oversees stock levels, discrepancies, and reporting, while coordinating with relevant departments and external partners to maintain seamless inventory management. Success in this role requires precision, problem-solving skills, and effective communication with suppliers and teams. The ability to navigate financial aspects and asset management as well as participate in business planning adds value to the role's strategic importance.

What You Will Do:

General

- Track shipments and control product inputs and outputs from warehouses and other stores.
- Escalate stock discrepancies during receiving to suppliers or senders by raising SRD reports and coordinating until adjustments are made in the system.
- Maintain and update stock records in both incoming and outgoing log books and the system.
- Conduct stock accuracy checks and investigate shortages weekly, segregate damaged stock, ensuring movement of damaged units for updating in the system.
- Verify periodically the physical quantities in stock with software records and undertake corrective measures in case of discrepancies by coordinating with brand teams, MIS, AM, and OPM.
- Prepare the store for marketing events, arrange stock count procedures, and ensure easy scanning and counting of stocks.
- Accurately record missing barcodes, quality, quantity, type, and other inventory characteristics and send updates to the brand team for assistance.
- Be physically present during maintenance work activities in the store, often after store closing hours.
- Participate in annual business planning and manage monthly budgets.
- Create purchase orders, track invoices, ensure completion of work with SLA, and invoice by Service Provider as required.
- Manage non-merchandise assets stored inside stock rooms for business-related activities.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

- Inventory management expertise, including tracking and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities in a retail context.
- Effective communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Organizational skills for coordinating stock and assets.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

- Diploma or high school education required.
- A minimum of 1-2 years in retail stock handling role, preferably in KSA.
- Strong skills in handling large shipments and accuracy in stock counting.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic to communicate effectively with vendors and delivery personnel.
