## Description

Position Overview:

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses provide critical care to premature and sick newborns. In addition to providing around-the-clock care to these patients, NICU RNs offer support to the parents. This parental support can range from emotional encouragement to advising parents on how to take care of an infant when they return home. NICU RNs work as a team member with other nurse practitioners and physicians. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that a newborn's critical care treatment is secure.

## Requirements

Education & Qualification 

 UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA). 
 Bachelor’s degree in nursing or Degree in Nursing (minimum two years course duration) And Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia

Experience 

 Has worked in hospital or similar setting for at least 2 years

Training & Knowledge 

 Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certified 
 Demonstrable ongoing and active CPD 
 Provides excellent patient care 
 Good Computer knowledge 
 Highly self-motivated – Possesses high internal work standards, sets themselves and helps others to set attainable goals; wants to do things better, to improve, to be more effective and efficient; measure progress against target 
 Flexibility – Able to adapt to ensure achievement of objectives within constantly changing situations and environments 
 Communication skills – able to relate and communicate with patients and staff at all levels and from different professions. 
 Problem solving skills – able to respond to unexpected issues and provide first line response and to identify appropriate sources of secondary support. 
 Ability to maintain professional and personal credibility across all staff groups 
 Multi-tasks well in a fast-paced workplace
