UAE Visit Visa: 3 Essential Travel Documents

Last Updated on July 10, 2024 by Vadim

Are you planning a summer break in the UAE? As you prepare for your trip, it’s essential to ensure you have all the necessary travel documents to avoid any hassles during your entry into the country. In this article, we’ll guide you through the three essential travel documents you need to carry, apart from your passport, to make your travel experience smooth and stress-free.

1. Secure Your Return Flight Ticket

When traveling to the UAE on a tourist or visit visa, it’s crucial to have a return flight ticket in place. According to Husham Kattingeri, an outbound travel supervisor at Regal Tours Worldwide, a return ticket is compulsory, regardless of which country you are visiting.

“A return ticket out of the UAE must be there; you cannot have a one-way ticket,” Kattingeri emphasized.

2. Carry Sufficient Cash

It’s always a good idea to carry some cash when traveling abroad. Kattingeri recommends carrying a sufficient amount of money to cover your expenses during your trip.

“It’s better to have some amount of money with you, which you’ll need anyway during your trip. It helps,” he said.

3. Hotel Booking Confirmation (Optional, but Beneficial)

While not always required, a hotel booking confirmation can be beneficial in certain situations. Nizar Pulappadi, manager at Season Travel and Tourism, explained that if you’re a visit visa holder without relatives or friends in the UAE, a hotel booking is essential.

“If you have a relative or friend, all you need to do is carry their passport copy and visa page, as supporting documents, in case you’re asked about where you’re going to stay,” Pulappadi said.

Key Takeaways:

Before your trip to the UAE, ensure you have:

  • A return flight ticket
  • Sufficient cash to cover your expenses
  • A hotel booking confirmation (if applicable)

By carrying these essential travel documents, you’ll be well-prepared for a hassle-free entry into the UAE and a memorable summer break.
